Is Ivorian Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly infected with coronavirus? This is the question that many ask themselves since this morning of March 24 after a press release on their Facebook page

The information first appeared as a rumor, before an official statement from the Ivorian prime minister confirmed it. Amadou Gon Coulibaly, the Ivorian Prime Minister is in self-containment. He himself announced it on his official Facebook page.

“I recently had contact with someone who has just been tested positive for Covid-19. Consequently, and in accordance with the precautionary measures in force, I decided to put myself in self-containment, although presenting no symptoms, ”wrote the head of the Ivorian government. This information is also confirmed by a press release from the Prime Minister’s office.

This announcement comes the day after draconian measures arrested by the Head of State, Alassane Ouattara, to prevent the coronavirus. These include a curfew, state of emergency, and progressive containment among others.

In short, the head of the Ivorian government is not infected with the coronavirus. No test to confirm the contrary was carried out at the time of going to press.
